Jo Gittemeier, Veterinary Technician

Staff Jo Gittemeier is a Veterinary Technician who has been a member of the Troy & Wentzville Veterinary Clinics since 1997, but began working with animals more than 23 years ago.

Jo says that she loves helping a sick pet get better and that she has great coworkers and a love of animals. At home she has a Boxer named Roxy, a Corgi named Mushu, and several horses and ponies. Her interests include trail riding, gardening and cooking.

Gina Weidner, Veterinary Technician

Staff Gina Weidner is a Veterinary Technician who has been with Troy & Wentzville Veterinary Clinics since March of 2002.

An enthusiastic team member who gets along very well with our clients, Gina says that one of the favorite parts of her job is puppy breath.

At home, she has a Bassett/Border Collie mix named IdaMae, a Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Lola and a cat named Louie.

Heather Schulte, Receptionist

Staff Heather Schulte is a Receptionist who has been with Troy & Wentzville Veterinary Clinics since October of 2006.

Heather has a very positive attitude and says the wonderful doctors, staff and clients make working here very enjoyable. Her pets include two Boxers named Smoke and Layla, an American paint horse named Beau, an American quarter horse named Buster, and a cat named Fuzzy. Her interests include playing softball, hunting, and going to tractor pulls.

SammyJo Detjen, Receptionist

NEED PHOTOReceptionist SammyJo Detjen has been with Troy & Wentzville Veterinary Clinics since April of 2011, and has been working professionally with animals for the past four years. SammyJo is responsible for checking our patients in and out and keeping our records up to date. She also brings great energy into the clinic.

"The co-workers and doctors are awesome to work with. The people are great. The clinic is really like a family; very understanding and caring," SammyJo said about life at Troy & Wentzville. "Everyone is very welcoming and nice."

SammyJo has 4-year old Aussie Mix named Bud, a 2-year old Healer mix she calls Natty, and two cats, Abby and Mason. She enjoys hanging out with her daughter and four-wheeling with her husband. During her free time she likes horseback riding and sports.

Krista Gregory, Registered Veterinary Technician

Staff Krista Gregory is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been with Troy & Wentzville Veterinary Clinics since March of 2010, but began her career in companion animal care in 2001. Additionally, she has an Associate's degree in Applied Science.

At home, she has three Siamese mix cats named Apple, Mozz, and Azerial. Her interests include drawing and painting.

Emily Ellison, Veterinary Technician/Receptionist

Emily Ellison began working at Troy & Wentzville Veterinary Clinics in September of 2013. Her duties as a technician and receptionist include monitoring anesthesia, caring for sick animals, and answering the phone. She indicates that she most enjoys helping to care for all kinds of animals, and the welcoming atmosphere in which she works.

"I love the friendly staff here, and the fact that I get to see so many different animals," Emily says. "Every day here brings something new."

At home she cares for Charlee, a yellow Labrador; Lucy, a chocolate Labrador; and two Beagles named Chase and Tucker. In her free time Emily enjoys hunting, trout fishing, being outdoors with her dogs, and spending time with family.
